Often it’s pointed out that the MSM has a liberal bias. It’s true, but many in the MSM simply can’t recognize their own bias. They HONESTLY believe that they are doing a good job as journalists, and take umbrage if anyone suggests otherwise.

Below is a typical — indeed quintessential — example of this bias — a bias that is liberal. But it’s also a biased article for additional reasons that most people don’t understand — I’ll discuss below. After sitting silently on his hands for days, last week Gov. Jerry Brown finally agreed to allow the California National Guardto send400 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, but would not allow guard members to stop illegal immigrants from entering the country illegally, in exchange for money from the Trump administration to beef up the state’s guard.Gov. Brown defiantly declared his troops “will not be used to enforce federal immigration laws.”

Today, American’s mental health institutions have become county jails. Especially in California, following the 2011 prison realignment which resulted in moving “non-violent” prisoners from state prisons down to county jails and letting the “non-violent” out of jails. And Propositions 47 and 57 decriminalized theft, and many drug and sex crimes.

As for any real help for the mentally ill and drug addicted homeless, most California counties only offer temporary overnight shelters rather than rehabilitation facilities.
