Pat Maciariello is a businessman, husband and proud father of two young daughters. Pat moved to Southern California as a child and he and his younger brother grew up in Claremont where his father was a professor at the Claremont Colleges and his mother taught first grade. After graduating from Claremont High School, Pat earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a M.B.A. from Columbia University in New York. In 2005 Pat moved back to Southern California permanently and made Orange County his home. He met his wife, Aleeza, within months of moving home and began working for Compass Group Management. At Compass, he helped form Compass Diversified Holdings a company which owns a group of small and mid-sized businesses. At Compass, Pat has served in board positions and worked closely with a variety of companies, including Advanced Circuits, ERGOBaby, Fox Factory ("Fox Shox"), Halo Branded Solutions, KBell Socks and Tridien Medical. Previously, Pat worked as a consultant with Bain & Company and as an investment banking analyst at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown. An advocate of free markets and pro-growth economics, Pat is an active member of the Lincoln Club of Orange County and GenNext, a non-profit that empowers executives to find long-term solutions for the next generation. In addition, Pat has a firm commitment to making a positive impact on children and empowering them to succeed, and has served both as a Big Brother and board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County. Pat's experience creating jobs, his community involvement and perspective gained from raising his own children has given him a profound sense that the American Promise is at risk, and to sustain it our nation must change. He is running for Congress as he knows that he can make a difference and desires to give back to the community and nation that has given him so much. Pat has participated in competitive athletic events his entire life and among other activities he has completed seven marathons and was a two-time intramural boxing champion while at Notre Dame. He and his family live in Laguna Hills.
