HJTA Invites Taxpayers to “March on Sacramento” To End Tyranny Against the Taxpayer New Radio spot hits the airwaves

Sacramento — The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association announced today it has issued an invitation to taxpayers across the state for a virtual “March on Sacramento” to end tyranny against the taxpayer.

The march invites taxpayers to sign the “Declaration of Taxpayer Rights.” The declaration states that Californians have a right to limited taxation, the right to vote on tax increases, and the right to economical, equitable and efficient use of the taxpayer dollars.

The declarations from around the state will be delivered to the Legislature and the Governor during the Tax Day Tea Party on the Capitol steps on April 15th.

Today’s Commentary: VIDEO: U.S. Rep. John Campbell Blasts Tom Campbell For Support Of Egregious Pork Spending

My apologies in advance, but this is a “Tale of Two Campbells” – so look for me to use first and last names when referencing the two principles in this story. It’s like opening a can of Campbell’s soup — one with a lot of pork inside…

When I was reading the exclusive column featured on this website, penned by former Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Tom Campbell, in which he pledges to carry no earmarks were he elected to the Senate, and in which he challenged one of his primary opponents, Carly Fiorina, to join him in making this pledge – something came to my mind: a conversation that I had with Congressman John Campbell (who is also a regular contributor to the FlashReport Blog) a few years ago.

Most readers probably know that John Campbell has been amongst the few patriots (along with… Read More

Gardner broke parole by opening a Myspace account

Even though John Albert Gardner, III, the man accused of murdering Poway teenager Chelsea King, was prohibited from registering on social networking websites, that did not stop him from opening a Myspace page three years ago.

Why didn’t the parole officers know of this parole violation? Why did it take a private investigator to accidentally find out about the parole violation?

That’s what everyone wants to know, including the San Diego Union Tribune reporter who broke the story.

By the way, the Union-Tribune reports Gardner last logged in on his Myspace account on Feb. 24, the day before Chelsea went missing.… Read More

Rove Visit to Fresno – Richard Pombo’s Mention in Rove’s Book

This item just posted on the Fresno Bee political notebook blog page – apparently Republican Congressional candidate and former House Member got a mention in Karl Rove’s new book, Courage and Consequence. Rove was in Fresno on Tuesday morning at a breakfast for Supervisor Debbie Poochigian. Richard Pombo was also at the breakfast, where copies of Rove’s book were handed out to the attendees.

Unknown to most, if not all of the breakfast attendees, at the time, was the mention of Pombo on page 463 of Rove’s book. Click here ot read the Fresno Bee post.

The race to succeed George Radanovich in CD 19 isa wide open affair, with Pombo, State Senator Jeff Denham, and former Fresno Mayor Jim Patterson competing for the nomination. Fresno Council member Larry Westerlund is also running in the contest. Too close to call as of this date.… Read More

Doug LaMalfa launches television commercial!

My longtime friend and fellow FlashReport blogger, Doug LaMalfa, is running for the State Senate. While as a GOP officer I don’t take sides in primaries — I think we can have a "if you blog dozens of times for this website we’ll promote your campaign materials" policy. Anyways, Doug’s launched what I think is his first TV spot… Check it out!
