Karen Hanretty is a conservative commentator and political media strategist who operates her own consulting firm in Sacramento.  Her political experience with campaigns and the media has made her one the most high-profile Republican voices in California.  Hanretty regularly provides political analysis on Fox News and MSNBC where she can be seen on shows such as Hannity & Colmes, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The O’Reilly Factor and Scarborough Country.  She is also a regular guest on the Willie Brown Podcast, hosted by former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown – a nationally renowned political icon.  From 2003-05, Hanretty served as Communications Director and chief spokesperson for the California Republican Party.  During the historic recall campaign of 2003, Hanretty served as spokesperson to the Schwarzenegger for Governor Campaign and as press secretary to the governor-elect during his transition into office. Hanretty graduated with honors from University of the Pacific, receiving a degree in political science.  She currently resides in Sacramento, California with her husband.
