Frank Schubert
Frank Schubert, president of Schubert Flint Public Affairs, is one of the most successful issue management and public affairs professionals in America. He has twice been named by the American Association of Political Consultants as the countrys most valuable public affairs professional. He is the only person to have won this prestigious award twice, having done so in 2004 and 2000. He also has twice been honored for assembling and managing the professions Public Affairs Team of the Year. Most recently, he was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (Sacramento Chapter).
Mr. Schubert, a 25-year veteran of public affairs, founded Schubert Flint Public Affairs in 2003 following 12 years as a partner and key leader of Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli, a nationally respected public affairs firm. Since the companys founding just five years ago, Schubert Flint has grown to become the regions fourth largest communications firm. Mr. Schubert previously spent five years as president of a major statewide business group working on civil justice issues, and several years as chief of staff to two California legislators.
Based in Sacramento, Mr. Schubert serves clients throughout the United States. He has provided counsel to companies, associations, government entities and nonprofit organizations in nearly two-dozen states on some of the most contentious issues facing the country. His work has included issue areas such as land use, insurance policy, education reform, tort reform, taxation, environmental issues and healthcare, among others. One of Mr. Schuberts strengths is the ability to synthesize complicated public policy issues into understandable messages, helping his clients define the debate on their terms. He has managed 31 statewide ballot initiative campaigns in nine states, winning 27 of those campaigns.
Mr. Schubert's views on issues have been widely reported by the national media, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The News Hour With Jim Lehrer, CBS Network Radio, Reuters and the Los Angeles Times.
Mr. Schubert lives in Lincoln, California with his wife and three children. He is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento and is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Political Consultants and WIND Youth Services, Inc., a nonprofit group assisting homeless teens. He serves as Captain of the Catta Verdera Mens Golf Club and previously served as president of the St. Francis High School Booster Club.
