Duane Dichiara
For over a decade Duane Dichiara has been advancing Republican philosophy and values by electing GOP candidates to office. Mr. Dichiaras campaign history includes successful races for competitive Congressional, State Senate, State Assembly, County Supervisor, City Council and Judicial seats. Congressman Darrell Issa, Congressman Jim Rogan, State Senator Tom McClintock, Assemblywoman Shirley Horton, and Assemblyman Mark Wyland have been among his clients and employers.
There are few persons in California with the extensive Get Out the Vote and grassroots experience of Mr. Dichiara. During the Presidential and Gubernatorial elections of the late 1990s he advanced through Republican Party Victory program ranks - from Orange/San Diego County Field Representative, to Regional Director of the Central Valley and Coast, to State Field Director of Victory during the election of President George W. Bush in 2000.
Public service has always been a priority in Mr. Dichiaras career. In the last ten years he has been Chief of Staff for two Republican State Assembly members, during which he staffed the powerful Government Organization Committee. During the late 1990s Duane spent a year as Land Use Policy Advisor to San Diego Supervisor Bill Horn, one of Californias most outspoken defenders of private property rights.
As Executive Director of the Adam Smith Institute Duane Dichiara directed one of Californias largest conservative political action committees. Under the leadership of an aggressive Board of Directors, Mr. Dichiara directed dozens of independent expenditures for partisan and nonpartisan seats throughout California. He also developed and wrote a weekly policy newsletter, Columns which had over 10,000 opinion leader subscribers.
Mr. Dichiara graduated from the University of California at Davis and earned his law degree at the University of San Diego. He is a member of the Federalist Society, serves on the Platform Committee of the California Republican Party, and as President of the Senate and Assembly Republican Chief of Staff Association.
Most recently, Mr. Dichiara served as Deputy Political Director for successful Gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is a partner in Coronado Communications, a political consulting and public relations firm with offices in Sacramento and San Diego
