This just came in as I am out the door… So my apologies as we usually don’t reprint press releases. Good news for this candidate I suppose, they get their "exact" spin.. Take it for what it is, Fiorina’s take on her own finances…
Carly Fiorina Kicks Off 2010 With More Than $2.7 Million In The Bank For Senate Bid
Banks $232,000 in online donations
Sacramento, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today announced that, after a strong first 60 days as a declared candidate, her campaign enters the 2010 election year with more than $2.7 million cash on hand.
“As a political outsider running against career politicians, winning a seat in the U.S. Senate from California requires a diverse and broad network of support that includes thousands of people who want to take our state in a new direction. Over the past 60 days, we have had a great start toward building that network, and I am grateful for all the support I have received up and down the state,” said Fiorina. “With more than $2.7 million in the bank and the strong grassroots support growing for my campaign, I look forward to continuing to connect with voters and to beating Barbara Boxer in November.”
Since the official launch of her campaign 60 days ago, support for Fiorina’s candidacy has continued to grow with more than $1 million in financial support coming in large part from Californians in nearly 500 cities and towns across the state. Eighty three percent of all donations are in amounts of less than $250, and the overall average donation amount to Carly’s campaign is less than $350. Carly’s online fundraising has raised $232,000. In addition, Carly and her husband Frank have personally invested in her campaign. She has loaned the campaign $2.5 million. “This is a pivotal time both for California and for the nation, and I am dedicated to the task ahead and in this race to win. Frank and I have invested in this campaign because we’ve been blessed and believe that 2010 will mark the resurgence of the fundamental principles of smaller government, job creation, and an unswerving commitment to the cause of freedom across the globe – all principles I am deeply committed to and will run my campaign on,” continued Fiorina.
In November, Fiorina also announced her campaign leadership team, which is comprised of prominent Californians from across the state who are committed to supporting Fiorina in her bid to unseat Barbara Boxer. They include the following individuals:

Way to go Carly! Spend that big fat golden parachute you got after you plunged HP into the ground, leaving thousands of Californias on unemployment. I hope you spend it all!
