From the U-T, about the U-T. May James Copley continue to RIP, knowing that his once great publication — including staff members that advised presidents — is no longer in the hands of an idle son of a wife, and that there may be a glimmer of hope for the newspaper’s future.

A Red Letter day, Mr. Jantz ! The newspaper has nowhere to go but up from here.
The “bookend” date is 1973 when a classy, and remarkably humble man named
James Copley passed away. Perhaps we will now remember 2009 as the start of
a long-overdue recovery.
