Today’s Commentary: AppointmentWatch: Arnold Taps 30 New Judges – 16 of them Democrats

This Governor is in the habit of rolling out Judicial appointments in big batches.  Until this week, his last batch of new Judges was announced back in May — twenty of them.  I have made no bones about that fact that it is galling to me that the Governor, who was elected with all of the support of the Republican Party, loves to appoint registrants of the party of Barack Obama to the bench.  In that May batch, it was 9 Republicans and 8 Democrats.  It is a very sad situation for GOP donors and activists that we have to settle with a bare majority of Judicial appointments from our Republican Governor.  It truly makes you scratch your head..

Well, actually, we have now set a new low for GOP appointments — less than 50%.  Monday the Governor announced 30 new appointees to Judicial posts around Californian.  You can see all of them here

For those who believe not becoming active to help Sen. McCain with the presidential election need to read this closely.

Sen. McCain will appoint conservative to moderate judges (yes the M word). Obama will have no opposition in a Democratic House and Senate and liberalism will be the new mantra of Judges. This state Judge appointment is nothing compared to what is possible under Obama.

Feel free to contact me for more information on how to protect ourselves against the onslaught of Federal (US Supreme Court) appointments by getting involved.

Thank you, Rick, for that ‘policy statement’. It’s appreciated.

I talk to a lot of shooters / gunnies who somehow think that their rights will fare equally well under an Obama administration as they would under a McCain one, especially now that Heller has been handed down.

Nothing could be further from the truth: the next President will likely be nominating at least one (and perchance up to three) new Supremes. There may be several key gun-rights cases coming up, some derivatives of Heller, and which may occur sooner than expected.

I’m confident that a future McCain administration will nominate justices along the lines of Scalia, Alito and Roberts – and would fear Obama nominations (Obamanations?),
since those are likely to be “living document” supporters.

I’m further confident that McCain nominees, because of his Senate tenure and cross-aisle relations, will be confirmable.

[Rick: do please remove the unneccesary/ incorrect typo from your group’s name, “Americans of Faith” is fine, plural is what’s required.]

Mr. Wiese is correct, we need to elect Sen. McCain.

Sen. McCain is a supporter of our rights to bear arms and needs our support.

Obama, like Schwarzenegger, will be a disaster for the 2nd Amendment and the constitution.

    Vote Republican this year.

Ah! You coddle “moderates” and country club RINOS….and you still lose.

Read the book on management about ATTILA The HUN, watch the movie once a month “PATTON”. Purge every pathetic administrative leech and consultant…..especially ones with law degrees!

In essence….start over…and do not trot out that CAMPBELL guy again….are you CRAZY!!!!!!

  5. tirving@yahoo.com Says:

Dear John: The not-so-smart Republicans who supported this turkey governor because “McClintock couldn’t win” (of course he couldn’t – everybody said so instead of getting behind a real Republican) got what you asked for. Those of us who opposed him are innocent victims of you “party leaders”. Pathetic.
