Clark: Miller Smokescreen Continues

I love drama.  This was sent in from GOP Uber-Consultant Tim Clark.  Assemblyman candidate Neil Blais is his client:

Miller Smokescreen Continues
Submitted by Tim Clark of JohnsonClark Consulting

I read the recent post by Senator Battin – a respected GOP legislator and a tough partisan when he’s supporting a candidate or cause.

That’s why I’m not surprised to see the Jeff Miller campaign use the Senator to repeat smokescreen arguments about Miller’s recent and surprising financial weakness.

Unfortunately for Jeff Miller, facts are a stubborn thing.  Let me repeat a few facts that Jeff Miller would rather got lost in the clutter:

  • Neil Blais raised $124,712 in individual contributions during the latest period.  That’s without any loans – personal or otherwise.   Jeff Miller raised only $90,019.
  • Neil Blais also loaned his campaign an additional $100,000 – like most winning GOP Assembly candidates have done in the past.
  • Jeff Miller has never complained about other GOP candidates loaning their campaign $100K.  He’s only complaining now that it’s Neil Blais.
  • Jeff Miller went from first-to-worst fundraiser in the 71st District.  Neil Blais now has more available “cash on hand” than Jeff Miller.

You can’t blame Jeff Miller for doing whatever he can to try and hide these facts.  The simple truth is, Miller is behind and in significant trouble.

So, if you feel queasy from all that second-hand smoke coming from the Miller ‘smoke and mirrors’ propaganda machine, then I suggest you buy a gas mask.  It’s only going to get worse.

    Tim – It’s on!

OK – bet me $5 that Blais actually spends the money he has put in, taken out and then put in again. Easy and cheap for both of us.

A much bigger issue for Neil and Jeff.

Why, oh why, is your client putting money in and out and in again? I certainly don’t know what is going on inside his campaign, but this looks really, really fishy to me.

Money in – OK – I’ve seen that before.

Money in – then out – then the exact same money in again. Hmmm, curious for sure.

We both know this is going to be a barn burner. Both candidates are aggressive and working hard – but the funny money is a sign of weakness. You know it and I know it.

So, c’mon, let’s bet. It’s only $5 to you or me – but $100k to Neil.

Wow–with both Tim Clark and Adam Probolsky on the pad, Blais better have a boat load of cash!
