Pasadena elected leaders refused to even send a “strongly worded” letter about human right to the Chinese. I’m sure the Chicoms were glad they ducked that one.
The protestors now have the right target. They plan on educating people with a billboard campaign. They also want people to turn their backs on the Rose Parade Float as it goes by. Not enough people know or want to know what the Red Chinese are up to. It is a good start.
A better idea would to throw all the recalled toys, pet food and fish at the float. Even better submit an entry on behalf of the Chinese people featuring a Statue of Liberty. That would get attention.

A worthy cause Mike, but good luck.
There’s far too much money to be made off of ignoring human rights and exploiting trade imbalances and near-slave level labor than there is off of exposing the tyranny of the communists.
One day, perhaps people will remember Beijing ’08 with Berlin ’36. But don’t count on it.
