In LA County former legislators, as Dangerfield would say get no respect.
This November two former assembly members are running for local office
Sally Havice a former lawmaker in Assembly member from the 56th Assembly District is running for a seat on the ABC Unified School District Board (Norwalk, Artesia, Cerritos, some of Lakewood, Hawaiian Gardens). She formerly served on the board before being elected to the Assembly.

What these two Democratic lawmakers have in common is that they were NOT endorsed by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. See endorsement list here.
Both portrayed themselves as “moderates” during their terms and ran afoul of the activist core of the party. In the Chavez case it is even more telling. There are 4 people running for three seats. Two (Roseanne Bader and Fred Chyr) are Republicans. The LA County Dem Party endorsed only one person for the seat.
No respect.
