Hedgecock Drops A Political Bomb

Explosive news from talk show host Roger Hedgecock today…

Firefighter Heroes Battle Gay Sexual Harassment

The Pulitzer Prize winning San Diego Union-Tribune gushed about the "diverse display" present at this year’s San Diego Gay Pride Parade, bragging that "politicians and firefighters joined bikers and drag queens" and "fans yelled ‘heroes’ when members of the San Diego Fire Departmentpassed by…".

Reality,  is another story all together—a hideously distasteful display of sexual harassment that was actively suppressed by the media covering this event. Instead they reported on the event with the same enthusiasm that older generations of Americans lavish on the hometown Fourth of July parade.

According to the four firefighters who rode their San Diego Fire-Rescue truck last month in San Diego’s Gay Pride Parade this is what really happened:

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department’s self-professed lesbian Fire Chief ordered Engine 5 (through the chain of command) to participate in the Parade. Capt. John Ghiotto and his crew, consisting of –Engineer Jason Hewett, and firefighters Chad Allison and Alex Kane–protested, objecting to participating in the Parade. They told their Battalion Chief thatthey would not participate in the parade unless directly ordered to do so. They received that direct order.

Here’s how Capt Ghiotto describes what happened at the Parade:

"While moving down the parade route we were subjected to verbal abuse, ("show me your hose", "you can put out my fire", "give me mouth to mouth", "f___ you fireman") and sexual gestures (people showing their intimate parts, blowing kisses, grabbing and rubbing themselves, making obscene tongue gestures, flipping us off)"

Engineer Jason Hewitt describes the same non-stop, degrading harassment and adds:

"While driving the fire engine in this parade, I felt like I was put
on a platter by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.  Not only was I being subjected to these comments, but I had to be told by (Christian) protesters that homosexuality is sin, that I’m going to hell, and that I will be judged by God. This wasn’t right. I was getting criticized all the way around. I was embarrassed, demoralized, judged, and sexually harassed because I was in this Gay Pride Parade."

Firefighter Chad Allison rode in the Parade in the same fire truck:

"While we were in the Parade, I attempted to look straight ahead and I kept my headset on so as not to be subjected to the verbal and visual harassment.  Despite the headset, I still heard comments such as "I want to see your fire hose", "Blow my hose", "Put out my fire”,” I have difficulty breathing, give me mouth to mouth".  Children were waving at us. Initially, I would return the waves, but on at least three separate occasions, sexual gestures were directed at me in response to my waves."

These details, as well as many others are found in the firefighters sexual harassment complaints filed with the California Fair Employment and Housing Department. The firefighters are represented by the Thomas More Law Center in the first known case of a Department ordering a firefighter into a situation where sexual harassment is a central part of the "event".

When I learned of these "normal people" being ordered to participate in the Gay Pride Parade, I instantly recalled the 1994 lawsuit brought in San Diego by a group calling themselves the "Normal People" to geta court order requiring the organizers of the "Gay Parade" to allow the "Normal People’s" float in the Gay Parade. The “Normal People” lost  that lawsuit. Now, these normal firefighters were being ordered to attend!  OUTRAGEOUS!!  The Fire Chief should be relieved of her position immediately and the remaining chain of command disciplined for forcing these firefighters to subject themselves to such a hideous and disgusting display of ridicule and harassment.  I promise you if the situation had been reversed and it was the Gay attendees or marchers that had been harassed in this manner people would have been fired already, the media would have had a field day, the story would be national news and heads would be rolling all over the Department…

Whatever the outcome of the firefighters’ sexual harassment claim, its high time for the media to stop covering up what really goes on at these "gay" events and get into the business of reporting the FACTS.  It is also high time that the politically correct public officials stop pandering to gay activists who use harassment rules to further their "rights" but violate those same rules at the "diverse display" of the "Gay Pride Parade".
