I have gotten about twenty emails since Brandon’s post went up below asking me if it is true about the State GOP COO resigning today. It is true. I was informed of this by Chairman Ron Nehring. I’ll opine more in the morning.

About a week ago the former COO sent this to the CRP Board. I say thank you Karen for saving the CRP from further embarassment from this unknown outsider. It looks like he was the one with the short lived career.
“”Finally, and sadly, this story would not have the “legs” it does were it not for the role Karen Hanretty is playing in fanning it. I say “playing” because she continues to feed false information to the press and fish for more information on this even today. I do not know Karen, but I find the spectacle of someone who has fed at the trough of the CRP behaving in this way despicable and sad. If she desires a career in Republican circles in Washington as the new Kevin Phillips, she may find her career rather short-lived.””
