WHAT: Tom Del Beccaro, Chair of the Contra Costa Republican Party and Mark Pruner, Chair of the Yolo County Republican Party, will be holding a press conference to discuss their filing of a lawsuit that seeks declaratory relief that Jerry Brown is ineligible to serve as Attorney General, because he does not meet the minimum qualifications for the office as set forth in California law and injunctive relief directing Registrars of Voters not to count ballots cast for Brown due to his ineligibility.

Two Northern California Republican county chairmen say they’re filing a lawsuit tomorrow to try to get Jerry Brown knocked off the ballot for failing to meet the minimum requirements of the attorney general’s office. As far as I know, the only requirements (in statute, not in the constitution) are that the person be licensed to practice law before the state Supreme Court for at least five years prior to taking office…

It’s good publicity for Pooch, but do we really believe that a judge(probably a liberal one) will follow the law and order ballots not counted for Moonbeam? We can only dream.
