When a Democrat Congressional candidate gets financial backing and support from Nancy Pelosi it is to be expected – Pelosi really wants back her old job as Speaker. But when that candidate is also being bankrolled by far left sugar daddies like Sean Penn and George Soros it causes you to roll your eyes — these folks only get animated about extreme, left-wing ideologues.
Over in California’s 36th Congressional District (Central and Eastern Riverside County) local and national Democrats have insisted that Raul Ruiz is the challenger who will finally unseat Rep. Mary Bono Mack. He’s a 40 year old emergency room physician running in a district that is increasingly competitive and Hispanic.
That having been said, any realistic ability for Dr. Ruiz to garner meaningful support from patriotic, America-loving voters in the 36th Congressional District, will rapidly evaporate when work gets around about his radical past. It turns out that Dr. Ruiz, was arrested in 1997 at a Thanksgiving protest in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Read on…
It turns out Ruiz was one of the masterminds behind the radical group, United American Indians of New England. In 1999, at their Thanksgiving protest, Ruiz read a letter written by Marxist rebel Subcommandante Marcos to their brother-in-arms, Leonard Peltier, who is serving time in federal prison for murdering two FBI agents in South Dakota. “Freedom for Leonard Peltier,” who is still behind bars for the cowardly cimes he commmitted, was one of the main causes supported by Ruiz and his group.
Additonally, Mahtowin Manro, a co-chairman of UAINE and like Ruiz, part of their leadersip, was an unabashed anti-American clown who believed the single greatest acts of terrorism were committed, not by Al Qaeda, or Osama bin Laden, but by the US military. He even went on to say, “We stand with our brothers in Afghanistan, Palestine, and Iraq, who suffer acts of terror at the hands of the U.S. government.”
Ruiz even went as far to lead a protest in front of Plymouth Rock and demanded to know who amongst his fellow radicals would “crush the rock and all that it represents.”
If you look at the attached arrest report and statement, you’ll see where Ruiz states that instead of being a holiday, Columbus Day should be, “national day of mourning.”
In a recent local television interview Ruiz said that he was beaten by the police and shielding a senior. This doesn’t jibe at all with the details spelled out in his description of events at the time, in a statement to which he stipulated as part of getting the charges dropped. You can read these details on the last page of the graphic attachment.
You actually have to try hard to get out to the radical left side of Nancy Pelosi. As the Congresswoman representing San Francisco, she’s as liberal as they come… Well, apparently except for Ruiz. Unfortunately for the good doctor, he is not running in San Francisco in an ultra-safe liberal district. Instead Ruiz is running in a blue collar district where voters want to hear about a pathway to economic recovery, not about the need to attack American exceptionalism and why the Pilgrims who landed at Plymouth Rock were actually racist.
