Crushed is a little bit of an exaggeration, a convenient one for a Republican National Committeeman to make, Shawn! However, the Census changes will surely result in a shift of Presidential electoral votes and members of Congress from the Northeast to the west and south and the math looks better in the electoral college for the GOP, by at least 12 electoral votes, and the GOP will pick up six natural seats in the next Congress, nationally, just in time to try to maintain the majority.
But Shawn, the Census won’t change the actual votes of the people. Let’s concentrate now on why the Reps got crushed in California by the last election!

If more prospective statewide GOP
candidates had to face questions
from Jim Lacy and Shawn Steele,
[and many other FR bloggers]
BEFORE declaring their candidacies,
that would be a great thing.
The disconnect between grass-roots leaders and the candidates is
devestating. We do so much better
at the Local and Regional levels
because candidates HAVE to listen
to us then.
