The Steel(e) show was front and center in Los Angeles Thursday night at the Jonathan Club for the LA County Lincoln Club ‘ s 13th annual Spirit of Lincoln award dinner. 

After an Invocation by Board of Equalization Member Michelle Steel, Republican National Committeeman and Lincoln Clubs Secretary Shawn Steel introduced Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele for a upbeat talk on how we are going to kick (donkey) in the November 2nd elections.

Steele said California is a high national priority for the first time in a long time. He predicted wins by both Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina as part of a red tide that will sweep across this year as voters return to their free enterprise and limited government roots.

The Spirit of Lincoln honorees this year were longtime GOP stalwarts, Bert and Jane Boeckmann. Bert is the owner of Galpin Ford, the world ‘ s largest Ford dealer. He served on the LA Police Commission for 17 years under four Mayors of both parties. The Boeckmanns have been involved with the Lincoln Clubs for over 30 years, and are major Republican movers and shakers in Lois Angeles County .
