Below I blog about Steve Poizner’s new web ad highlighting the growth of eBay’s porn marketplace under Meg Whitman’s leadership. Web ads with these highly funded campaigns are significant because they can (and do) turn into TV spots in some cases (the piece airing now by Poizner on Whitman’s voting record was first seen as a web-only ad).
I reached out to the Whitman campaign to get their response to Poizner’s eBay/Porn attack, and this is what we got from campaigns spokesman Dan Comstock…
"Is Steve Poizner seriously trying to tell us that eBay is a pornography site? eBay’s millions of users, including my grandmother, will find that a little hard to believe. Steve Poizner is desperate. He lacks momentum. He lacks grassroots support. Most of all, he lacks honesty. The only pornography in this race is the obscene act of watching a liberal like Steve Poizner try to pretend he’s a conservative."

The Poizner porn video is so poorly done, given Steve’s fabulous ad technicians, that it must have been done so on purpose. I suspect the goal of that video was simply to get the press, the talk shows, and the internet to buzz about EMeg and porn.
I think it is a cheap, dirty campaign tactic.
And that comes after my former congressional colleague, V.P. Dick Chaney’s, expose of Poizner not backing our country properly on the Iraq war.
I have had it with Poizner. Phew!

Talk about cheap, dirty campaign tactics – Meg Whitman staffers are going around to gunshows and using NRA hats placed on the table alongside campaign literature to try to fraudulently induce folks to believing she’s supported by NRA.
No rational gunnie will support Meg Whitman. And I’d hope to see some bite-back by the NRA soon.
Anyone who ran a biz that rejects auctions/sales of even HOLSTERS and SCOPES can in no way be regarded as anything but anti-gun.
