The Associated Press Economic Stress Index just released its Top 20 most and least economically stressed counties in the nation. Guess which state had 12 of the Top 20 most economically stressed? Yup, California.
Imperial and Merced counties top the list, with San Benito, Sutter, Yuba, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin all making the top 10. No California counties appeared on the least economically stressed counties list.
No wonder unemployment is climbing and Californians are leaving for other states. This list is just another shameful reminder of the dismal state of California’s once stellar economy.

Lets get practical….why would anyone pay payroll and related taxes, minimum wage, have liability insurance and workers compensation insurance be looking at huge health care costs or penalities, have to bow to the AB 32 whackos…and pay for permits, chits, certificates, new equipment etc. etc. And the paperwork and delay costs…..staggering….
Also, the underground economy is flourishing creating a competitive disadvantage for legitimate employers to hire and thrive in California…while those pesky far east countries crank out product at a rate of 55 cents per labor hour….while wearing gas masks and body grease to fend off noxius “stuff”.
Least we forget smuggling….tobacco products, drugs, boats, rv’s, related toys, booze, pills, “citizen” documents for legitimacy….
And as one Flash Report junkie retorts…..I am not funny….yep the guy is right.
