The California State Auditors office has announced it’s accepting applications to become a member of
California ‘s first-ever Citizens Redistricting Commission. Created by Prop. 11 in 2008, the commission will be responsible for reapportioning legislative and board of equalization districts following the 2010 census. The application process closes Feb. 12, 2010. For more information go to www.wedrawthelines.ca.gov. Contact: Margarita Fernandez916 445 0255.
If you like to draw the political lines—come join the Commission. Remember Mass. Governor Elbridge Gerry and his famous salamander-shaped district in 1812.
Conservatives were warned that ACORN and a multitude of Leftist groups would try to pack the Commission with their people.

Shawn:
Thank you for being “Paul Revere” on this subject, and encouraging our
side to make their applications. Not many RNC members would take
the time to do this…. but then you are Cal-YAF-trained !
