Just off the transom from the Committee to Recall Anthony Adams…
On Tuesday, September 8th at 3:00PM, The Committee to Recall Anthony Adams along with Recall Proponents will submit over 36,000 signatures to the Registrar of Voters Office, 12400 Imperial Hwy. in Norwalk, Ca. “This is a proud day for the over-burdened taxpayers of the great State of California,” said campaign spokesman, Mike Schroeder.
Adams broke his campaign promise to never to raise taxes. Adams relied heavily upon this promise to win election to the Assembly. He then voted to double the car tax, and to significantly raise the sales tax and the income tax. Angry California voters from the 59th AD filed papers to recall Adams after he was the deciding vote in the $12 Billion tax increase the Assembly passed in February of this year. That same vote put the $16 Billion Prop. 1A on the ballot the voters flatly rejected by almost 2 to 1 in May.
“I’m extremely proud of the hard working volunteers and paid petitioners who have worked tirelessly through a scorching summer to help us achieve this goal,” continued Schroeder. Adams arrogantly defended his vote on the popular John & Ken KFI 640 show which earned him top “Heads on a stick” honor by John & Ken who have become staunch recall supporters. “Honestly, we wouldn’t be where we are today without their help,” Schroeder said.
“As we turn-in the signatures to be verified by the Registrar of Voters office and forwarded to the Secretary of State’s Office, we call on Assemblyman Anthony Adams to do the honorable thing and immediately resign his seat. He should save the voters the cost of the recall election.. Otherwise, he will face the wrath of disenfranchised taxpayers in a special Recall Election,” stated Schroeder.
The Committee plans to do a second and final turn-in before the cut off date of October 13th. Once the signatures are certified the Secretary of State’s Office must set a date for a Recall Election within 60 to 81 days thereafter. “The people of California have suffered enough,” ended Schroeder.
