Massive Tea Party Set to Converge on State Capitol

This just in from the organizers of this Friday’s massive Tea Party rally at the State Capitol…  You should plan on attending!

Massive Tea Party Set to Converge on State Capitol
Central Valley water issue, Government over-regulation, and AB 32 among topics of protest

By Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association

This Friday, the masses will converge on the State Capitol in Sacramento.

Taxpayers in California have not only had to deal with direct assaults on their pocketbooks in the form of Tax increases from the Legislature; they’ve also had to cope with indirect attacks on their livelihoods as the Legislature passed California’s own version of global warming regulations” with AB 32, and as a single Federal judge in San Francisco stopped the flow of water to Central Valley’s farms in order to save a “minnow” in the water supply.

The latter has created a drought that rivals the Dust Bowl of the 1920s. And it’s skyrocketed unemployment in Rural communities to an alarming 40% unemployment. The difference? This crisis is entirely man-made. Chalk that up to another “only in California” milestone.

Fed up with the man-made Water crisis facing Central Valley farming communities, along with severe  government over-regulation and the oppressive AB 32, Californians who are concerned with the economy and job creation are coming together to remind Sacramento politicians that the GOVERNMENT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.  So, next Friday, August 28th from Noon to 5pm, Californians will get the opportunity to tell their government how they feel at a statewide Tea Party backed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

The Tea Party will be joined by Congressman Tom McClintock, Talk Radio personalities Armstrong and Getty, Sacramento talk radio host Eric Hogue, Central Valley farm leaders, loggers, truckers, and Taxpayer groups.

Californians are clearly in no mood for more regulation and taxation. They made it clear on April 15th, they said it again at the ballot box on May 19th, and they’ll deliver the message again next Friday. Make no mistake, we are in the midst of a Revolt not seen since Prop. 13. Our State government would be wise to listen, as these protesters are intent to use their First Amendment rights to voice their opinion and they show absolutely no sign of slowing down.
