My comment on the CDP endorsing 1A

I wasn’t surprised to see the California Democrat Party endorse Proposition 1A. What’s for them not to like? $16 billion in higher taxes and an ineffective spending cap." — Jon Fleischman, Regional Vice Chairman, CA Republican Party

I think that too many Democrats have seen the polls, and know that Prop 1A is going down to inglorious defeat. No “Obama effect” in this special election — quite the contrary. Most will vote by mail, I suspect — something low income Democrats are not good at.

The party is wise to abandon this sinking ship — smartest move by the Dems in years. Some unions are even spending some money against this doomed proposition — probably so they can claim that they are more influential than CTA and other Prop 1A backers.

Hopefully Prop 1A’s defeat sucks Arnold down into the vortex.
