Larry McCallon for CRP Vice Chairman, Inland Region

Larry McCallon is a well known name to those involved in GOP circles in San Bernardino County.  He’s an elected member of the San Bernardino County Republican Central Committee, now having served two years on the County Party’s Executive Committee.  He’s on the City Council in Highland (which he pointed out to me is the city at the base of the mountains before you climb up to Big Bear).  With over two decades of service to his country in the Air Force, Larry is a patriot, and a recipient of the Bronze Star award.

Soon, Larry will become well known in statewide Republican circles as he joins the State GOP Board of Directors as a Regional Vice Chairman.  Larry is a good conservative, and a smart one (contrary to popular belief, not all conservatives are smart).  I support him for this office, and I hope you do, too.  Currently McCallon is running unopposed for this seat which has been occupied by Acquanetta Warren, who is forced to retire due to term limits.

Below is a column from Larry, and below that — some of his endorsements!

FROM LARRY MCCALLON
As a lifelong Republican, and candidate for the Vice Chair Inland Region of the California Republican Party (CRP) in February 2009, I believe that government is the best when it is limited in scope, that economic growth comes through free enterprise and lower taxes, that individuals and their families need to be responsible for themselves, and that our country’s security is assured only by a strong national defense.

My goal as a regional Vice Chair will be to promote and elect candidates to local, state, and federal offices who also believe in these values. To do this, we need to increase Republican registrations by having a voter registration program that emphasizes our core Republican values. However, registration is not enough. It does no good to have Republicans registered if they don’t vote on election day. Therefore, we need to build strong precinct organizations that will ensure that Republican voters turn out to vote on election day. We also need to encourage and support Republican candidates for local non-partisan offices to strengthen our "bench" for future state and national elective office. Of course, raising the funds needed to accomplish these efforts is absolutely essential for any of them to be successful.

As the Inland Region’s Vice Chair, I pledge to work with the county Chairman and affiliated organizations to help organize volunteer efforts; to help develop and implement registration and voter turnout plans; and to facilitate communications and interactions between campaign organizations, the CRP, and each County Republican Party.

I am an elected member of the San Bernardino County Republican Party having served on its Executive Committee for two years. The following biographical information will help you get to know more about me and my experience:
