In 1997, the Pacific Research Institute released the first of its ongoing California Index of Leading Education Indicators, which included a chapter on California’s dropout rate. The Index warned that the state Department of Education missed legions of dropouts who weren’t accounted for in the Department’s crude calculating methods. Just think – our state budget only spends at least 48% on K – 12. Not including what is being spent on Higer Education.
The best is that the teachers union thinks the state does not spend enough money.
I think it is time to bring back Prop 38 – school vouchers

Okay, I’ll bite. If the “over 24%” figure does not include drop outs that went on to earn their GED, then what is the true figure if those students ARE included?

Ironic the education kabal cannot add up all their failures…DROP OUTS!
Time for Propositions each and every election for overhauling public education….come on Republicans….hammer and hammer and hammer away for excellence in education….
We got spirit how bout you?
