Gabriella Holt is a Republican candidate for State Assembly in the 54th Assembly District.  She was recently endorsed by the Lincoln Clubs of Los Angeles Countyaz.  Lincoln Clubs Chairman Bob Virtue sent this over about his organization’s support of Holt:

The Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs Board of Governors recently endorsed Registered Nurse and teacher Gabriella Holt for Assembly.  This was an unprecedented step in many ways.

First, we did this unanimously.  After talking with Gabriella we were all impressed with her knowledge, passion, and energy.  She was the obvious choice to be the Republican nominee for Assembly.  The entire Board of Governors felt strongly about that.

Second, we took this move prior to the filing deadline even closing. When you get the perfect candidate there is no reason to keep looking.  It’s important that Republicans in California identify good candidates early in the process.  When you find someone that has a proven record of leadership, is a perfect fit for the district and is willing to work full-time for the next year in attempting to win the general election we need to support that effort.

The Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs have been a leader in supporting candidates that share our vision of a smaller and more responsible government.  Our action prior to the filing deadline should let everyone know that this is a clear case of identifying a quality candidate that shares our view of California.

Most importantly we were looking for a candidate that would not only win in June but also give us out best chance of victory in November.  Quite frankly, we found a great candidate that has a good chance of being sworn into the State Assembly in December and we wanted to encourage her to keep working hard.

The Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs Board of Governors is proud to support Gabriella Holt.  We join Republican leaders such as Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Senator George Runner, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, Assemblyman Bob Huff, Assemblywoman Sharon Runner, Assemblywoman Audra Strickland, and Assemblyman Anthony Adams in supporting her.

We ask all Republicans in the area to join the coalition that has been formed to support this best chance Republicans have to win this seat in more than a decade.  It is easy to talk about recruiting good candidates.  Now is the time for action.  Republican leaders all over the state need to step forward to endorse and financially support Gabriella Holt for State Assembly.

The support of the Lincoln Clubs is important because AD 54 is a district that with the right resources deployed can definately be "in play" in the general election.
