   even though I am no longer actively involved, I must ‘fess up to the same brain defect of looking forward to finding what comes in the mailbox. Ours has been getting a fair amount on prop 93, and the gaming props. I guess it helps having two republican women registered at my house, and one being a permanent absentee voter that hasn’t returned her ballot yet.

   Not one pro Romney piece has arrived in the Bartlett house. I thought we would have carpet bombed by now with them. My wife and I are both high propensity GOP voters. You’re slacking Duane.

   It is indeed a brain defect, Mark. Being overtaken by waves of events finally forced me to discontinue the practice a few years ago. Due to space limitations, I also (painfully but therapeutically) pared down my archive of political mail from four file boxes to one.

   Romney was the only candidate who mailed to me during the Nevada caucus season. The mail came in handy as a lining for our new puppy’s kennel crate.
