Senator Harman was the only Republican on the Senate Housing and Transportation Committee to vote with all seven Democrats to ban kids from using mobile phones while driving.
The Harman/Democrat plan makes sure little Johny and little Suzie can’t talk on the phone while driving, even if they use a head set or talk on the speaker phone. As far as I can tell, text messaging while stopped would be illegal too.
Harman’s knack for morphing himself into the role of mother, father, grand mother, grand father and Aunt Nellie all at once by telling the rest of us what to do and what not to do is becoming tiresome.
Apparently Harman does not believe that the role of government should be limited.

Adam, your reflexsive, anti-Harmanisms are becoming annoying. Just how much money is Diane Harkey paying you for this petty crap?

Jim, sorry to disappoint you but Mayor Harkey and Senator Harman have resolved their differences–Harman is supporting Harkey for the State Assembly.
My beef with Harman is just that he is bad at making public policy and I will continue to call him out for it as necessary.

I actually wouldn’t mind reading Adam’s monitoring Senator Harman if he would hold the entire OC delegation to the same standard…

On a daily basis I watch reckless freeway driving by adults and teens
whose attention is focused on talking instead of driving.
As the bumper-sticker says, “Shut Up and Drive.”
At freeway speeds the safety of ones fellow motorists is at stake,
and safe driving should be priority # 1.
