I thought the following commentary/editorial from David Sander was a fitting tribute for the convention. It’s written by David Sander, a local GOP Mayor who’s putting Republican principles to work every day, in the real world of government.
A case FOR partisanship, not “post-partisanship”
David Sander,
Mayor of Rancho Cordova
As a local Mayor, my job is considered “non-partisan”. But, I don’t think there is such a thing as “non-partisan. In fact, I don’t get they get the idea of “post-partisanship” – to me it’s just a bunch of feel-good hooey.

As one who’s hobby has been the effort to defeat Republicans – with some success over the last 45 years, I couldn’t agree more.

Finally someone who actually knows of what he speaks and isn’t afraid of expressing his opinion.
Obviously Mayor David Sander has his finger on the pulse of Republican voters because he’s dead on right about what Republicans feel for their legislators.
Many sold us out and paid the price. Unfortunately, we also pay the price for their failures.
Hopefully with comments such as David’s it will wake up those left to represent us, as well as those who choose to run as a Republican in the future.
Hooray for saying what needed to be said, and saying it so well.
