Orange County Round-up

Senate District 34 –
DAUCHER is leading Correa by 13 votes.  Stay tuned for the frenzy…

Anaheim Council –
Balance of power in question with Kring (a former councilmember) winning and Chavez an incumbent losing.

Costa Mesa Council –
MANSOOR and LEECE win to solidify a conservative majority with Beaver who was not up for re-election.

Dana Point Council –
Diane Harkey is the big winner without being on the ballot.  She is on the council but was not up for re-election this year.  Two of her candidates (BARTLETT and BISHOP) won giving her a governing majority.  Incumbent Lacy lost.

Fullerton Council –
Incumbent Wilson lost to to ultra-liberal KELLER shifting the balance of power in that city.

Garden Grove Council –

Huntington Beach Council –
Status quo as three endorsed GOP and one Democrat wins.

Irvine Mayor –
KROM wins re-election.

Irvine Council –
Incumbents SHEA and KANG win re-election.

At least two of the three incumbents on the ballot won.  MacLean is down by a handful of votes to GREENWOOD an ally of councilman Frank Ury.

Orange Mayor –
CAVECCHE won for mayor over former councilman Alvarez.

Orange Council –
MURPHY and BILODEAU won

San Juan Capistrano Council –
Two incumbents lost.  Governing majority is out of power there.

Measure M –
The new half cent sales tax that will fund transportation and mass transit won.  This is a big with for Jeff Flint, Lewis Consulting (Sen. John Lewis and Matt Holder) and virtually every other consultant in Orange County (except for me–I was not involved in this campaign at all, in any way).

Eminent Domain Fix measures won in:
Anaheim
Dana Point
Newport Beach
